Good Food Events
2023-Present
Branding, Food-Events Design
An extension to Good Food, Good Food Events brings a well-written passion for food and drink to life with unforgettable, in-personal experiences. In collaboration with leading brands, Good Food Events delivers one-off events that showcase the best food and culinary talent Australia has to offer. Driven by a hunger to impress, Good Food Events is about sparking joy, bold flavour and bringing people together.
Good Food Events tasked me to develop an identity that confidently defined themselves from their predecessor, Good Food Month, and the existing Good Food brand. Committed to bringing experimental dining experiences with big “wow-factor”, its visual expression needed to be outgoing, quirky, a bit messy, and always playful.
The result is a visual feast of loud colours, typography and playful imagery, enticing viewers towards the rich flavours every Good Food Event promises to deliver.

Design Choices
Expressing the bustling energy of feasting together and bursting flavours, Good Food Events’ identity is built on abstract, food-inspired shapes combined with bright colours. These shapes can be used to frame and overlay photos, store information or as stand-alone images in instances where photos are not supplied. Eye-catching graphics were a requirement, for Good Food Events to stand out from their partners and attract interest towards their events.
Victor Narrow was chosen for the display font, as it struck the perfect balance between sophisticated and modern. The swaying motion of regular and italic font mixed together evokes a happy dance of flavours.
Since its launch, I have continued to maintain the brand and deliver multiple events across Sydney and Melbourne.

Lee Ho Fook x Baba’s Place
Lee Ho Fook x Baba’s Place was a quirky and unexpected collaboration between Victor Liong (Lee Ho Fook) and Jean-Paul El Tom (Baba’s Place), two chefs from seemingly incompatible food backgrounds. Reminiscent of a plate or a spinning vinyl, the event’s hero graphic celebrates an unlikely yet charming mash-up of cultures, culinary styles and eccentric flavours.

Italiano Lane
Italiano Lane saw the transformation of Quay Quarter Lanes into a breezy, alfresco-style dinner setting. A hidden solace within the busy CBD, the vision for Italiano Lane’s centred around the Amalfi Coast. The creative for the event is dainty, whimsical and appeals to all ages, featuring bread imagery in an elegant yet fresh colour combination of blue and gold.

Fried Chicken & Champagne
True to its name, the creative for this event was inspired by the crispy edges of a piece of fried chicken and champagne bubbles. It took on a broodier colour palette to suit the velvet interiors at QT Sydney.
