Brief


Lee Ho Fook x Baba’s Place was an unexpected yet delightful collaboration between chefs from conflicting culinary backgrounds.

Hosted by Good Food Events with QT Hotels, the night showcased Victor Liong of the sleek, modern-Chinese restaurant Lee Ho Fook and Jean-Paul of the kitsch warehouse diner Baba’s Place. With a live DJ and beverage brand partner thrown into the mix, this eclectic event needed a campaign identity that did each wildly different element justice—while capturing the interest of young, trend-seeking foodies. 

Solution


Reminiscent of a plate or spinning vinyl, the hero graphic captures both the delicious flavour and vibrant tunes promised on the night. Best highlighted in the menu social tiles, the use of a simple, circle shape was perfect for merging the event’s elements by overlaying and framing images from each partner. The choice of intense, sherbet colours conveyed the event’s zany personality across social media while also complimenting the venue’s dimly-lit setting in person. Despite its eccentric and bold approach, this extremely successful campaign stayed true to the Good Food Events brand and sold out tickets within a few weeks.
