This set of prints explores the idea of sorrow. The prints explore how sorrow accompanies feelings of fragility, confusion and overwhelming despair that, with time, will gently fade away.
愁 (chóu, meaning ‘sorrow’) was screenprinted onto tissue and photographed in water. Tissue and water were chosen as a mediums for suggesting weeping, the ebb and flow of emotions.
